RPA Certification Board Announces The List of 2011 Approved Designated Observers
The Certification Board hosted its annual mandated meeting with Designated Observers on Monday, February 28, 2011.
We are happy to announce the names of the RPA approved Designated Observers who have fulfilled their D.O. status requirements for 2011 according to RPA Designated Observers Policy December, 2010.
Effective March 1, 2011, the 2011 Designated Observers are:
Josephine Airns The United Kingdom
Mary Cameris Tulsa, OK
Meryl Chodosh-Weiss New York, NY
Jennifer Johnson Bellingham, WA
Bobbie Martin Kansas City, MO
Ardis Osborn Scottsdale, AZ
Sylvi Salinas Austin, TX
Chloe Faith Wordsworth Scottsdale, AZ
These Designated Observers are the only people authorized by the RPA to conduct Tutorial Observations and Practitioner Skills Development classes that will count towards the fulfillment of Student Practitioners’ Certification requirements in 2011.
In addition, they are the only authorized providers of Tutorial Observations and Practitioner Skills Development classes for formerly Certified Practitioners who require earning CEU’s from these services in order to be reinstated as members of the RPA.

Revised Special Offer for Student Practitioners Whose Membership Has Lapsed
We realize that the special Student Practitioner reinstatement offer and the terms of the Grace period that previously appeared on the website along with the Lapsed Student Practitioner Membership Policy were contradictory.
We apologize for this lack of coherence. We believe that you will be pleased with the clarified terms of the Grace period.
All Student Practitioners who currently have lapsed memberships (more than one year past renewal date) have a grace period from now until June 30, 2011 to reinstate their Student Practitioner Membership in the RPA.
During this time, all of the work that they have done towards their Certification requirements will be counted regardless of whether or not they were an active member when the work was done or tutorial observations were received.
During the grace period, these Student Practitioners’ financial responsibilities are for the payment of:
- dues for the current year
- $100.00 reinstatement fee
- $125.00 one time only Certification fee that they have never paid if they became part of the I-Declare Certification program December 31, 2005 or earlier.
During the grace period, when a person with a lapsed Student Practitioner membership is reinstated, they need to take their CEU course work within one year of their membership renewal date.
On July 1, 2011 the full Policy for Reinstatement of Student Practitioner Membership, approved September 1, 2010, will go into effect.

Important Notes Concerning the Revised Certified Practitioner Membership Reinstatement Policy
We realize that the chart accompanying the Revised Certified Practitioner Membership Reinstatement Policy Approved by the RPA Board October 13, 2010 on the RPA Policies page of the website was confusing.
We apologize for the lack of coherence.
The current chart underneath the policy on the website is the revised version.
Please note that Certified Practitioners do not pay back dues for the time when they were inactive members of the RPA.
The policy states:
“Lapsed membership continues to be defined as membership that has not been paid by the renewal date. Until they are reinstated, Certified Practitioners do not have their privileges of membership which includes, but is not limited to the following:
- They are no longer listed as Certified Practitioners on the RPA website.
- They can no longer use the RRI and the RPA logos and advertise themselves as active Certified Practitioners.
- They can no longer participate in RPA surveys and voting.”…….
Accordingly, when a Certified Practitioner is not a current active RPA member they can say they were previously Certified but now their Certification status is inactive.
A Certified Practitioner does not lose their Certification status, it becomes inactive. They cannot practice Resonance Repatterning and say they are a Certified Practitioner. To do so is unethical.
By analogy, in other professional disciplines, for example in New York State as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, a person can choose to have inactive status. They can choose not to pay their registration renewal fee but as the Registration Certificate states “Practice without current registration violates the Education Law and may subject you to disciplinary action”. When they do not pay their registration fee, the person does not lose their permanent license, their LCSW, but they are not registered and therefore they cannot practice under their license.

Att: Student Practitioners- Important Announcement
Dear Student Practitioners,
In order to more consistently present the Certification Requirement about receiving five sessions from at least two Certified Repatterning Practitoners (In the manual P. 8 #8,
P.13 #9, P.22 #8) the current version of the manual (V4, June 2009) now has changes on page 13#9 and page 22#8.
Please reprint page 13 and Page 22 from the I-declare website section, or make the following changes (in boldface below) to your current copy.
P. 13 #9
“Receive a minimum of five one-hour sessions from two different Certified Practitioners.”
P. 22 #8
“Receive five one-hour sessions from at least two Certified Resonance Repatterning
Practitioners”.
The document named “Summary of Edits June 2009 “also found on the I-Declare website download page, has been updated to reflect this change.
No change in policy has been made at this time, the changes merely clarify what has been in effect since 2007.
Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.
