In Case You Missed It… The RPA Round-Up
More than a few things are happening here at RPA and there have been (and will be) a number of email announcements. In case you missed it (or lost it!) here is a news summary with helpful links.
1. May 21st – Telecall with Chloe Wordsworth – re-discover your repatterning tribe and join us! Chloe brings us up to date on her recent changes.
2. June 4th – Student Practitioner Teleconference Call – This is actually open to all Associate, Student and Student Practitioner members. Hosted by the Certification Committee, come with any or all questions you may have about the RPA certification program. Sign up to obtain call-in details.
3. June 1 – 22 – VOTE - (posted at the Repatterning Journal) – exercise your membership responsibility to vote. Over the last 18 months, The board of directors have reviewed the bylaws to keep them current and recommends a revised version for adoption. A quorum of eligible voters is called on June 1st and this group then has until June 22nd to vote. You may review the bylaws now in your MY ACCOUNT feature. Please return on June 1st to vote.
4. The Repatterning Journal May Edition - Read the current edition of the journal online. You may notice 2 new formatting changes we hope improves your experience
- How it’s organized - Visit the May Edition link to land on a page of links containing all of the content for this edition, however, visit the BLOG HOME link to view all content in a sort of chronological order. For each edition we set the publishing date and time for each article as the publishing day date at 11:11Am. Some other organizing principle seems to take over from there! Our thanks to Sally Herr and Nancy B. Martin who continue to bring content together for our community.
- Who’s doing the writing? All RPA members are invited to submit articles for upcoming editions of the journal. If you have submitted an article recently your “Gravatar” picture shows up in the side bar with a hover card to your page of shameless self promotion. If someone clicks on your image, they will find an archive of the articles you have posted at the journal. Authors at the Journal may wish to use this link at their website, Linked In or other online spaces to establish an online presence.
- The Repatterning Journal is a great place to establish your expertise in the repatterning world without necessarily having to be an expert. Read the articles and leave thoughtful comments in the reply box. Be sure to include your website address when completing the form. Post your comment and then share the article with your Facebook, Twitter or Google Plus network. You will see the sharing buttons in each post.
Questions welcomed

Spits and Sparks – Glitches Afoot
If you recently tried to call our 1-800 number at RPA you may have run into an electronic receptionist we affectionately call Dorothy and wondered if you were still in Kansas! It seems nothing stays the same anymore whether you want it to or not as is the case with the service that provides us with our 1-800 number. Our service was recently bought by another company and we were automatically enrolled in a new delivery system that provides everything we had but with more automation including a voice receptionist! Our administrator Josephine Rovari has been onto this for the last week, trying to get the new system set up and working well. As of today we think it is mostly in place. Please let us know by email if you have been unable to leave a message or get cut off in any way.
The new system does have its great features, allowing us to give members lines to contact RPA Leadership and committee members directly. We’ll be using some of the new extensions for special projects or standing committees.
Thank you for your patience as we move forward
